unless this naming is officially used by stepford i suggest renaming weapons to items, since some technically aren't weapons in the traditional sense

about automating the weapon footer & this page's contents:

suggest making each table pull from pages in Category:Weapon, and automatically fill in the table details:

put the weapon description under a header, then put all contents under that header in the description column, or merge it with the text in the box that's floating right and then get the stuff there somehow (can you declare HTML id from normal wiki markup?)

weapon name can be taken from the page title

the image can be pulled from the right floating box if it's possible, or all of them can be put under a new page Media:WeaponName

i know how to do the generating part in JS (though i'd need permissions), except for obtaining the initial data about pages in the category (i couldn't find anything in the mediawiki documentation)
