Upgrades are your primary method of fighting off anything that stands in your way. Each one does a different thing, from firing new projectiles to just small stat increases.
When enough experience is collected, the game slows down to a standstill and a menu will pop up, giving you the option to pick one of three Upgrades. During the slowdown the player can still be damaged. By default you can have up to a maximum of 12 different Upgrades, after which you will only receive options to level up items you already have. This amount can be increased with one of the Drillers or a specific Statue.
All increases from Passive Upgrades are additive. Minimum values for player stats are 20%, the maximum value being 10,000%.

Yoyo-Rack | Slings a YoYo in the direction of the cursor, then draws it back. Hitting an enemy can make it recoil to you much faster and more often, increasing its damage potential. EACH UPGRADE: Increases damage and yoyo count. |
